アサーション
QUnit
では多数の基本的なアサーションが用意されています。アサーションによって、テスト
の中で返された結果が期待されるものと一致するかどうかチェックされます。アサーションが失敗
すると、そこには何らかのバグがあるということがわかります。
Jasmine
と同様に、
QUnit
を使っ
てもリグレッションの有無を簡単に検出できます。バグが見つかると、開発者はそのバグの有無を
確認するためのテストコードとバグを修正するためのパッチを作成し、これらをともにコミットし
ます。その後の変更によってテストが失敗するようになったとしたら、その失敗の原因を容易に把
握でき、修正も容易です。
まず知っておくべき
QUnit
のアサーションとして、以下のようなものがあげられます。
message
の内容はテスト結果とともに表示されます。
ok(state, message)
