It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

デルを識別するための仕組みが必要です。
Backbone.js
では、モデルの識別のために
id
、
cid
、
idAttribute
の各プロパティが使われます。
Backbone.js
でのモデルはすべて
id
という属性を持っており、この値（数値または
UUID
などの
文字列）がモデルの識別子として機能します。モデルには
cid
（クライアント
ID
）という属性もあ
り、これはモデルの生成時に
Backbone.js
によって自動生成されます。
id
と
cid
はいずれも、コレ
クションからモデルを取り出す際に利用できます。
繰り返しますが自動生成されるかどうかという点が、両者の最大の違いです。
cid
は
id
の値が
まだわからない場合に便利です。例えば、モデルがまだサーバ側あるいはデータベース内に保存さ
れていないといったケースが考えられます。
idAttribute
は、サーバから返されるモデルの中でどの属性を識別子として使うべきかを指定
するために使われます。ここで指定された属性の値が、
id
属性にセットされます。実質的に、
ID
の対応付けがここで行われることになります。この属性のデフォルト値は
id
となっており、必要
に応じて変更できます。例えばサーバ側でモデルの識別子として
userId
