I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
13.4. The Script Menu
Apple provides a utility known as Install Script Menu that enables you to easily access and run scripts from your menu bar. When you run this utility, which is located in your /Applications/AppleScript folder, it silently runs and installs an icon in your menu bar. In Figure 13-1, the Script Menu icon is the leftmost icon.

If you click the Script Menu icon, you get a drop-down menu showing all the scripts installed in the system's script folder, /Library/Scripts, followed by a list of scripts (or folders containing scripts) that you have installed in your own Scripts folder, ~/Library/Scripts (see Figure 13-2.)
There is also a way to display scripts associated with the frontmost application in the lower pane of this menu, but that's not shown here.

You can choose to hide the system library of scripts by selecting Hide Library Scripts from the pull-down menu. You can also open your own Scripts folder by selecting Open Scripts Folder. You can execute a script simply by selecting it from the Script Menu.
