Introduction
Human beings are multifaceted creatures. Our identity is made
up of the sum total of our history, our many traits as well as our
values and beliefs. Each aspect of us reflects a different facet.
There is the adult part of ourselves which is responsible and
independent and the childlike part of us that can be afraid to
grow fully into all of who we can be. There is the masculine side
and the feminine side. The hard worker, the rebel, the parent,
the caretaker, the hero and the victim can all co-exist within the
same personality.
We are not always fully aware of these different aspects of our-
selves and some remain hidden whilst others tend to dominate.
