This chapter covers the steps that are necessary to create a Java Graphical User Interface
(GUI) that interacts with the Order Entry application that was discussed in Chapter 6,
“Overview of the Order Entry application” on page 299. The user interface is designed, so
minimal changes are needed in the RPG code. Furthermore, the host application is changed,
so it can handle both an invocation from a Java client and a native invocation that does not
involve a Java interface.

I wanted to learn C and C++, but it didn't click for me until I picked up an O'Reilly book. When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.
