I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
OSD statistics
The counts of provisioned, up, and down OSDs is available via the osd stat subcommand as shown in the following:
root@ceph-client0:~# ceph osd statosdmap e7785: 6 osds: 6 up, 6 inflags sortbitwise,require_jewel_osds
Note that the above information is exactly the same as the information present in the Ceph health status we described earlier in this chapter. The output of Ceph status is useful when watching problems visually, but if you want to isolate only the basic OSD stats, osd stat may be convenient.
