So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Querying systemd units on a node
To list the Ceph systemd units on a Ceph node, perform the following set of commands.
Let's see how to determine which Ceph services are running on a particular node. This can be helpful to determine the location of which OSD or MON services are running on a certain node:
- To list all the Ceph systemd units on a node, execute the systemd manager for the Ceph service/target using the status command. This command will display all active services/targets systemd has loaded:
# systemctl status ceph\*.service ceph\*.target
- To list the status on a particular Ceph service, execute the systemd manager for the specified Ceph service using the status command. To check the status of mon.0 issue:
root@ceph-node1 # ...
