It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

7.6 IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.1 command line
The command line in IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.1 is a simplified wrapper for many
of the Candle prefixed commands that exist in the same directory. The two main
commands are:
tacmd: Tivoli agent command
itmcmd: IBM Tivoli Monitoring command
This section also covers the cinfo UNIX-only command.
Note: Avoid closing sampled events through the event synchronization in
Tivoli Enterprise Console. Sampled events expect a natural closing event. By
closing it manually on Tivoli Enterprise Console, it makes a callback to Tivoli
