Chapter 5. Configuration 101
4. Complete the following fields in the IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console Server:
Location and Port Number window and click OK.
TEC Server Location: Enter the host name or IP address (using dotted
format, such as 0.0.0.0) for the computer where the IBM Tivoli Enterprise
Console event server is installed.
TEC Port Number: Enter the port number for the event server. Set this
value to 0 (when your event server is a UNIX server) unless the
portmapper is not available on the event server (as when the event server
is running on a Windows server™). When you specify 0, the port number
is retrieved by the portmapper.
If you want to use the default port (5529), edit the
tec_installdir/TME/TEC/.tec_config file on the event ...
