This part of the transformation process is concerned with how something is put in place to help the company be successful. Basically, this covers the rule, the referee and the team when it comes to playing the data game.

Whilst I'd love data professionals to be on footballer salaries and retire at 35, I am a realist who wanted a career that lasted a lifetime. However, in most teams just grabbing all of the best resources isn't good enough and won't necessary lead to success. How you organise your resources and get them to work together as a team is often more rewarding for the team and cost effective for the company. My own secret for success is to group the data engineering team with the business intelligence and analytics function, along with the insight and science team. Whilst they often use different tools, they should be using the same data and definitions.
