When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Caroline Carruthers is a recognised global data leader who is sought after for international speaking engagements. As well as co‐authoring The Chief Data Officer's Playbook she is currently the Chief Executive of Carruthers and Jackson Ltd, the company behind data talks and data education initiatives such as ‘the Chief Data Officers summer school'. She also helps clients to improve their data maturity and deliver data strategies within their organisations. Caroline has been a chief data officer across multiple industries and sectors and a data cheerleader since she realised how crucial it was to running a business well.
Peter Jackson is currently Director Group Data Sciences at Legal & General, having previously been Chief Data Officer at Southern Water and Head of Data at The Pensions Regulator. He is an accomplished speaker about all things data and the co‐author of The Chief Data Officer's Playbook. Peter is passionate about data and the opportunities that data holds for the benefit of organisations and society.
