In Chapter 15, I introduce Ravi, Chun, and Timothy, three consultants who have put together a hospital’s data lake remediation strategy. Ravi (the founder of the small boutique consultancy) and his team did such a great job defining their client’s fixing-the-data-lake strategy that the hospital asked them to stay on as advisers while the internal IT team carried out the remediation strategy over the next ten months.

Now, it’s time for the finishing touches.

With the hospital’s data lake freshly restructured and partially reconstructed, the next stage is to start really making use of “Data Lake 2.0” and not look back. Fortunately, Ravi, Chun, and Timothy have been down this road more than a few times, and they’re ready to keep going when their client contact asks if they’d like to continue working on the data lake turnaround effort.
