新興の億万長者Jian-Yangは、Bloombergのインタビューに答えて「私は大金持ちになりました」と述べています（図12-1）。彼が「より良い世界」をめざして作ったのはNot Hotdogというアプリ（図12-2）です。

（筆者のうち1人も含めて）何のことかと思われた方に解説しておくと、このアプリの元ネタはHBOによるテレビドラマSilicon Valleyです†1。登場人物の1人が、食べ物版のShazamをめざしてSeeFoodというアプリを開発しています。食べ物の写真を撮ると、レシピや成分の情報がわかるようなアプリが目標とされていました。しかし、結局出来上がったのは被写体がホットドッグかどうかを判定するだけのアプリでした。ホットドッグ以外のあらゆるものは、「Not Hotdog（ホットドッグではありません）」と分類されました。
