「12章 Core MLとCreate MLを使ったiOSアプリNot Hotdog」で紹介したNot Hotdogアプリが大ヒットした後も、Jian-Yangは実在するすべての食べ物を認識する分類器の開発をめざしていました。実際に、このアプリはSeeFoodと呼ばれるはずでした（図13-1にその痕跡を見て取れます）。食べ物を見て即座に認識する、食べ物版Shazamアプリが構想されていました。しかしNot Hotdogアプリがあまりにも大きな成功を収めて、Periscopeに買収されることになりました。テレビドラマSilicon Valleyで投資家Erlich Bachmanが描いたビジョンは、まだ実現されないままです。彼の夢を完結させるのが、この章での目標です。
