Motivate Your Staff Continually

A POSITIVE sense of self-esteem and self-worth is the key to excellent performance and high levels of motivation. Each person needs to feel important, to feel like a winner. To make your people feel like winners, five things are necessary.

First, build self-esteem in your staff by setting clear goals and targets for your people to aim for. You cannot hit a target that you can’t see.

Second, set measurable and achievable standards so that people know how well they are doing in the process of achieving their goals.

Third, structure the job so that people actually achieve the goals they set and get the feeling of success. Your job is to make sure that people “win” on a regular basis.
