Now let us deep dive into different layers of the stack. Depending on the layer we may jump between the two different OS (Contiki and FreeRTOS) implementations now and then (Figure 14.1), that enhance the designer’s understanding, and the designer has to use only one OS and stack—either Contiki or FreeRTOS—depending on his choice. In the below, as we proceed from layer to layer, we shall be highlighting the important events and actions that are to be observed by designers to implement.
