Streams are a pipeline of functions that transform, instead of mutating, data. They have creators, intermediate, and terminal operations. To obtain values out of the stream, the terminal operations need to be called. Streams are not data structures, and they cannot be reused, once consumed it remains closed—if collected a second time, java.lang.IllegalStateException exception: stream has already been operated upon or closed will be thrown.
