Service-oriented architecture with an example

Suppose we are creating an employee management system that is responsible for creating, editing, and deleting record and, managing employee documents, leave plans, appraisals, transportation, and so on. Starting with this monolithic definition, let's start dividing it into different services. We will end up having a core EmployeeRecordManagement service, a LeaveManagement service, a DocumentManagement service, and so on. The very first advantage of this kind of breaking up into smaller services means we can design and develop these independently now.
