Chapter 17, “Ansible—Installing and Configuring OLAM,” provided a basic understanding of playbooks and how to set up an Ansible environment to authenticate and run the standard OCI Ansible collection. In this chapter, we will cover how to set up Oracle Linux Automation Manager (OLAM) in a real-world scenario, along with a few new tricks and hints for using OLAM with OCI for full-stack automation. We will start this process by building users and groups to support the DevSecOps teams and then setting up target inventories and projects and running playbooks from GitHub. We will also cover variables and prompting for them when running playbooks and custom execution environments.
