Terraform API with Examples
In Chapter 19, “Infrastructure as Code,” you learned about IaC and Terraform concepts. This chapter will put in practice those concepts. Oracle provides excellent tutorials that walk you through the initial setup of Terraform to work with OCI, but here we will describe and explain in detail each step of the process to give you a full understanding of how the end-to-end process works.
The best approach to getting started with Terraform is to just dive into it.
Setting Up Terraform in OCI
In this chapter, we will set up Terraform on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux host. This host will become your Terraform client host (that is, the master host that is used to run all your Terraform commands from).
