Abstract
An innovative approach to improving traditional energy distribution networks, the smart grid would use state-of-the-art technology to make power distribution systems more efficient, dependable, and eco-friendly. In this chapter, we will talk about how to combine blockchain technology with digital twins. Improving operational efficiency and security are the primary focuses of this chapter as they pertain to smart grid systems and their significant challenges. A trustworthy and open-source method for managing transactions and exchanging data within the smart grid, blockchain technology is a distributed and immutable ledger. The smart grid may build a reliable system with the use of blockchain technology, which guarantees the validity, precision, and permission of real-time data. This ensures the accuracy and reliability of the data supplied as it moves through the various parts of the smart grid, which in turn reduces the possibility of cyber assaults. An essential component of smart grid operations management, administration, and enhancement is digital twin technology.
