Abstract

Thyristors are covered in detail. Several common control circuits are analyzed. The popular industrial computer called the programmable logic controller is covered in depth. The chapter ends with a thorough introduction to data acquisition systems. A thermal control project is included to illustrate the key principles in this chapter.
