5.1.1 Significance of Emotional Intelligence and Empathy for Key Project Competences

Findings from study one reported here found that the emotional intelligence ability of using emotions to facilitate thinking was significantly associated with the project manager competence of teamwork. The overall measure of EI was also associated with the project manager competence of managing conflict. In both instances, this was after controlling for both cognitive ability and personality.
