OBJECTIVES

After reading this chapter, you will be able to

Draw sectional views—the views that are projected by imagining a machine part to have been cut and a part of it removed
Draw the half-sectional views—obtained when the cutting plane cuts halfway through the object so that half of the object appears in section whereas the other half is the external view—for symmetrical objects
Draw revolved sections, removed sections, partial sections and offset sections
