18.1 INTRODUCTION

In Chapter 17, we discussed isometric projections. In this chapter, we will discuss oblique and perspective projections. An oblique parallel projection is a pictorial projection with the same pictorial value as that of an isometric projection. It is comparatively easier and faster to draw if the characteristic shapes are projected with the true shape (TS) in any one particular view, preferably the FV, in the orthographic projections.
