I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Linux
This chapter moves away from Windows to discuss another extremely popular OS known as Linux. Linux has a great deal in common with an older OS, UNIX, because Linux was originally written as an open source implementation of UNIX. Linux offers many of the benefits you would expect in any modern OS, though it may be a little different from your experiences with Windows. The first thing that makes Linux different from most other OSs is that it is open source, meaning that anyone who desires to can browse, and even change, the source code. This design offers a degree of transparency not found in closed-source OSs, such as Windows.
