Brian Tiemann is a freelance technology columnist whose writing credits include books on Mac OS X, iTunes, the iPod, and iLife, as well as three editions of FreeBSD Unleashed. He has been a constant user of FreeBSD since his student days at Caltech, where he used it to build a movie fan website that continues to grow and sustain an ever-increasing load. A native Californian, Brian lives in San Jose and works in the field of network optimization appliances, when he isn’t busy looking after two hairy dogs.
