Day Forty Six Taking Aim
We have taken a close look at your everyday spending and at the large purchases you hope to make in the years ahead, and we have tried to make sure you're committing your dollars to the things that matter most to you. Now, it's time to tackle the biggest ticket items: your long‐term goals.
Often, we have just three long‐term goals: retirement, college for the kids, and buying a home. But you might have others, such as a second home or a major remodeling project that may take many years to save for. Below, list your long‐term goals, set a target date, and estimate how much each will cost. Include a few additional details, such as where you hope to retire, what sort of house you'd like to buy, and which college you want your children to attend. These extra details can bring your goals to life – and help fuel your motivation.
