So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
3 THE PROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUAL’S ETHICS

Given the ethical concepts defined in Chapter 2, we now explore professional ethics as a vital tool and framework to navigate moral complexity in tech and innovation. We consider how the competing value systems – personal, organisational, societal – are influenced by practical issues such as deadlines, politics and self-interest. We suggest practical tools and reflective questions to help individuals and teams reason through dilemmas, act responsibly and build ethical competence. The chapter also examines different types of responsibility – causal, legal, moral and role-based – and presents codes of conduct as scaffolding for professional integrity.
