I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Having established the concepts of ethics within tech, and the individual and corporate perspectives, in this chapter we explore broader societal implications. This chapter is structured in four parts. First, we explore how ethics is rooted in social context, and how professional responsibility extends beyond individual actions. Second, we examine the societal impacts of IT – from economic disruption to political influence and the erosion of human agency. Third, we reflect on the relationship between ethics and law, using human rights as a shared compass while recognising that legal compliance isn’t always ethically sufficient.
