I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Contrast stretching
The contrast stretching operation takes a low-contrast image as input and stretches the narrower range of the intensity values to span a desired wider range of values in order to output a high-contrast output image, thereby enhancing the image's contrast. It is just a linear scaling function that is applied to image pixel values, and hence the image enhancement is less drastic (than its more sophisticated counterpart histogram equalization, to be described shortly).
