API methods

To maintain the data, we need to provide the following methods:

• register_user: Adds a new user to the users table
• create_channel: Creates a new channel with the provided user as the owner of the channel
• publish_channel: Makes the channel public
• add_member: Adds a member to a channel
• add_message: Adds a message from a user to a channel
• delete_message: Deletes a message

You may have noticed that we don't have methods to delete a channel, but we have a method to delete a message. That's because users can post a message accidentally, which they may want to delete. Perhaps the user posts some private information that they want removed from the database.
