The Worst of Both Worlds
One of the best episodes of ST:TNG is the finale of the third season entitled, “Best of Both Worlds.”[23] One key character of this episode, Commander Shelby, is a challenging individual. She’s forceful, headstrong, highly ambitious, and unquestionably brilliant. She does whatever she thinks is correct without worrying about who or what might get in her way. She’s a young, hotshot commander on her way up.
Unfortunately, the Enterprise has a (formerly young) hotshot commander named William Riker, who over time has learned to temper his actions with experience.
