10.1 Accessing the in-camera menus
1 Switch the camera on and cap the lens. Note that, unlike film lenses, the iris ring on a digital video lens goes past the smallest aperture to a position usually marked ‘C’. This stands for ‘capped’ and is fitted mainly to enable a quick and effective black balance to be performed. It is just as useful in capping the lens to make reading the menu on a monitor easier.
2 To display the in-camera menu in the viewfinder, hold the Menu switch down and move the Display switch to Menu. You will have to start with the Display switch set to OFF.
