The stages of an interaction follow the traditional stages of marketing. After all, we are, in some ways, marketing ourselves to others to encourage them to engage with us. In marketing there is a concept known as AIDA, which stands for Attention, Interest, Desire and Action.
It simply means that in any advert or marketing activity your first task is to get the reader's attention, followed by getting them interested in what you're selling, then making them want it and, finally, persuading them to take action. ...
