I am frequently asked what I think the future holds for the sports industry. Will professional sports continue to grow? Will greed and arrogance eventually destroy the business by destroying the fans’ sense of relationship to the players and teams? Or will the grace and skill and excitement of the athletes and the games continue to capture the imagination of the audience with sufficient power so as to drown out the financial and administrative issues which threaten pro sports?
