3.1 AIRBORNE LiDAR DATA ACQUISITION

The LiDAR scanning system mounted on the aircraft platform is collectively referred to as an airborne LiDAR system or airborne laser scanning (ALS) system, which is an active data acquisition technology that integrates a variety of high technologies (Lai, 2010). At present, the light and small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and manned aircraft are the main flight platforms of airborne LiDAR systems.
