CHAPTER 20: NETWORKS SECURITY

Any organization that is pursuing ISO 27001 is likely to be a reasonably complex one, with one or more networks of computers, usually across geographic locations. Effective communication management – and therefore effective network management – will be essential to the stability of its operations, and therefore this is a key area for control. The ISO 27000 series of standards includes ISO/IEC 27033 (a five-part standard), which can provide additional technical guidance on network security.
