When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to do it...
- If possible, delete all the administrative applications, such as Joomla's admin, WordPress' admin, phpMyAdmin, or Tomcat Manager. If that is not possible, make them accessible from the local network only; for example, to deny access from outside networks to phpMyAdmin in an Apache server, modify the httpd.conf file (or the corresponding site configuration file):
<Directory /var/www/phpmyadmin> Order Deny,Allow Deny from all Allow from 127.0.0.1 ::1 Allow from localhost Allow from 192.168 Satisfy Any </Directory>
This will first deny access from all addresses to the phpmyadmin directory, and second, it will allow any request from the localhost and addresses beginning with 192.168, which are local network addresses.
