When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
By obfuscating the payload, we are able to bypass security controls based in the recognition of words and characters. We chose to use the language JSFuck to obfuscate the code as it is in fact JavaScript.
JSFuck obfuscates the code by manipulating Boolean values and predefined constants to form printable characters, for example, to get the character a:
- a is the second letter of false and it also can be represented as the second element of an array: false[1].
- That can also be represented as (false+[])[1].
- Also, false, as a Boolean value, is the negation of an empty array ![]. So, the above expression could also be (![]+[])[1].
- The number 1 can also be +true, which leaves (![]+[])[+true].
- Finally, we all know true is the opposite ...
