I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Mit der Verbreitung kommerzieller Software zur Erstellung von Präsentationen wurde eine Entwicklung in Gang gesetzt, die einigen Paradigmen von LaTeX entgegenläuft. Dadurch, dass es inzwischen so einfach geworden ist, Folienpräsentationen (man verwendet ja schon dafür als Synonym »PowerPoint-Präsentation«) zu erstellen, wird der Fokus in zwei Richtungen verschoben. Zum einen wird leider sehr oft vermehrt Wert auf die Darstellung und weniger auf den Inhalt gelegt. Und zum anderen wird immer seltener berücksichtigt, was beim Betrachter der Präsentation ankommen soll. Dies hat darüber hinaus zur Folge, dass viele Redner sich schon gar keinen Text mehr überlegen, sondern sich während der Präsentation von Folie zu Folie hangeln, am Ende einer Folie nicht wissen, wie es weitergeht und sich überraschen lassen.
