Finally, we looked at what actually takes place during the feedback session. One of the more important elements here is the actual content of the information conveyed to the recipient. Our finding that a person is usually more receptive to positive than to negative information is not surprising and has been found in numerous other studies. But our research also showed that the opportunity for the recipient to actively participate in the feedback delivery leads to higher receptivity.
