So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

There are many books on leadership, and that's because it's a complex subject. Leadership is about making tough decisions, inspiring others, and getting things done. It's about influencing people and managing change. It's a tough job, but it can also be rewarding. Technology leadership comes with its own set of complications, which is why there are fewer books on the subject. It takes experience and knowledge to become an effective technology leader and the things that work in the textbooks have a habit of not working out so well in the real world.
