I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Configuring your first Python action
Open QGIS and load in the popp.shp from the Shapefile folder in the QGIS sample data that we downloaded previously. Right-click on the layer in the layer panel. Select Properties and then the Actions tab, as shown in the following screenshot:

Click on the Create Default Actions button on the right-hand side of this window. It will then show some default behaviors that we can use. Double-click on the row that has a Description called Selected field's value (Identify feature tool), as shown in the following screenshot:
