THE SETUP
When shooting on location like this, if there’s a window, you have the opportunity to use it as your second light—your “kicker light.” That’s what we did here, positioning her so that one side of her face would be lit from the window, and the other side would be lit from the single flash. The low 8' ceiling made this shoot a little tricky, especially when it came to getting this overhead shot, which we had to shoot using an iPhone set to ultra-wide mode, and is why things look a little wonky perspective-wise, ...
