I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
With a TRS, you can send your
left channel through your tip, your
right channel through your ring, and
your ground (or return) through your
sleeve.
TRS cables also come in smaller
⅛-inch packages as well. (These are
what we mean when we talk about
aux cables.) Remember, despite the
difference in diameter, these work
identically.

11. Another kind of cable we’d like to mention (although we won’t be using it) is called an
XLR. This cable looks totally different from a TRS but works the same. Every XLR has three
pins—pin 1 is used as the ground, and pins 2 and 3 can send one mono signal each. If you’re
