Standardization
Blockchain technology is not yet mature enough to be able to integrate with existing systems readily. Even, as the current technology stands, two blockchain networks cannot easily talk to each other. Standardization will help to improve interoperability, adaptability, and integration aspects of blockchain technology. Some attempts have been made recently to address this, and the most notable out of these attempts is the establishment of ISO/TC 307, which is a technical committee with the scope of standardizing blockchain and distributed ledger technology.
