It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

ML Kit's face detection API helps to identify key facial features, using these developers can generate avatars and process selfies, portraits, and so on. ML Kit can perform face detection in real time. The key capabilities of face detection are recognizing and locating facial features, and recognizing facial expressions such as smiling, anger, crying, and more. ML Kit face detection can track faces across video frames.
