I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Bucketing
Bucketing decomposes data into more manageable or equal parts. With partitioning, there is a possibility that you can create multiple small partitions based on column values. If you go for bucketing, you are restricting the number of buckets to store the data. This number is defined during table creation scripts. The advantage of bucketing is that because of equal volumes of data in each partition, joins at map side will be quicker. It also offers a faster query response, like partitioning.
