I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

When I was writing this book, Microsoft was reporting more than 1,200 server systems certified to run Windows Server 2008 x64. Of that number, over 95 percent are certified to run Hyper-V. This points out that, even though most OEM servers support Hyper-V, you need to be sure that the system you plan to use for running Hyper-V is capable. To make this easy, Microsoft keeps a web page (www.windowsservercatalog.com) of all the hardware and software that has been certified for use with Windows Server. If you are purchasing your hardware from a mainstream vendor, it is easy to look up your particular model on this list to check that it is has been certified to run Hyper-V.
